THE HUNGRY JUNGLE:
Stories of the Plants that Shaped our Gardens
Have a look at the e-books page.
Thistle Street Books is a tiny imprint, based in Edinburgh, Scotland, that has been set up to sell the e-books written, or reprocessed, by well-known garden writer David Stuart.
The books so far cover garden plants, garden history, garden games, and a few oddities. All may be purchased through the various national variants of Amazon, and can be read on all e-book readers, netbooks and laptops, tablets and desktop computers. All are heavily illustrated in colour and are only suited to phones with large amounts of memory.
A number of his printed books have become paperbacks; others have been translated into Spanish, Norwegian, French, and, most recently, Chinese. A selection of reviews have been included on this site. He has had columns, often using his own photographs, in several national newspapers, and has also had articles published in many glossy magazines.
This site also give access to a varying selection of antiquarian books that might interest gardeners interested the the past history of their craft. These, too, may be purchased through Amazon.
The games will soon be both TomatoTrivia and PepperTrivia, originally designed as phone apps and, should you want them on your phone, can be purchased on various app stores. Here, adapted for the web, they will be free.
